Our mission

University is such a unique and formative time, and we believe that the message of Jesus offers true hope, meaning, and transformation. As a Christian Union, we are united by our desire to live and speak for Christ so that our friends, course mates, and the wider university community can encounter Him for themselves.

We are called to this mission because we believe God’s love is for everyone, and the gospel is too good to keep to ourselves. Jesus commands His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), and the Apostle Paul reminds us that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). But Paul also asks, “How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” (Romans 10:14). For us, this is why we long to share Jesus with our campus — so that every student has the chance to hear and respond.

Everything we do flows from this calling. Whether through outreach, prayer, community, or service, our aim is to reflect Jesus’ love and invite others to explore who He is. As Paul puts it, “Christ’s love compels us” (2 Corinthians 5:14), and it is that love which drives our mission.
